Some serious re-bar - these appear to say V 1 S = 75 If I am reading this right it is from V, a #1 sized rod (the biggest ?), Steel, and is grade 75.

Slurry pipes. For when a thick muddy slurry is used in the shaft to keep the walls apart, and you don't want your concrete diluted as it sinks to the bottom. The pipe is assembled, run to the bottom of the shaft, and the concrete (heavier than muddy water) displaces the water up the shaft.
