New application for a 5 storey, 37-unit residential building in Oakville for 130 Cornwall Road, east of the Old Mill Parkette and south of the Oakville GO parking garage and transit control centre. It will be a building for people with addiction and metal health challenges. 7 vehicle parking spaces and 30 bike spaces proposed. OPA and ZBA page linked here.

The applicant, Support House, describes itself as: "Support House was established in 1982 and provides regulated, accredited, client focused personal and residential supports for people with mental health and addiction issues".

It seems like a very worthy development in a transit-oriented location and I hope it is approved without delay.

Interesting situation here. The Town of Oakville corrected a zoning error on May 15, which means an Official Plan Amendment will not be necessary. The plot was accidentally left out of the "Livable Oakville Plan" which designates most of the land around the GO station to high density uses. This means that as of now, the developer no longer has to seek said change, and they approved the project altogether while they were at it.

Excellent news!
