Whenever the TO press want to identify a small market team they will always say Winnipeg and Edmonton never Calgary or Ottawa or Buffalo There is this preconception of what Edmonton is and always has been.

Yes they do……YEG, YYC and YWG are always lumped together….who cares anyway…why are we talking about this now?
