Another vote for the west end - fantastic area. The human scale of the buildings there is just so pleasant.

I'm hoping that with the zoning bylaw renewal we'll see a big expansion of zones that allow 3-4 storey multi family buildings here.

One thing I like about that area of Vancouver is even though it is not an old city by any standards, they seem to have kept some more human scale older buildings that have interesting design.

I think in our boom and bust economy, we tear things down in the boom in a rush without thinking and in the bust in desperation. So many of the ubiquitous 3 storey walk ups in Oliver look like they were built within a five year period in the late 60's or early 70's and I guess almost everything before that was razed like in a clear cut. It is a great area, but it could use more variety. I think at least this building does that a bit.

Seen a sign saying renters will be moving in, in September.

Driving past this building exceeds my initial opinion that this place has a fantastic exterior. A very welcome addition to a bit of a dated neighborhood.

Honestly, one of my favourites in the area. The colour and facade are so nice. I’d take this look over sync 111, mercury block, and the silly panel look of westrich’s midrises any day.
