Entitled youth? More likely a new server on a busy night, possibly short shifted too. Bad servers get skidded fast in (most) restaurants. My own family nearly fired me after I was a pretty subpar server. Lol.

It was not busy at all, maybe 80% full. The icing on the cake was when she came out with our third set of beers (the first two were brought out by the manager she was literally non-existent) and half our table of 8 went bowling, she dropped off all the beers at the far end of the empty table we had, made no eye contact, and walked right off from us....

Complaining about todays youth is about as old as society itself.... Not saying service wasn't bad, but "todays youths are lazy" is a bit of an eyeroll.

I really dont understand the economics of doing this, and why its so common. The nearest TD is literally 2 blocks away.
 
Ran some errands downtown today and parked in the Connect Centre parkade and must say I'm very impressed with the progression that's been done in the area! The skating rink was decently populated and was just nice to have a central area that people/families could come for an outing. It's almost like we're in Toronto hehe
 
I walked to the Connect Centre about 5 pm. The Icehouse had a lineup, so I went upstairs to the Banquet which was busy - their Bahn Mi Burger was good, my Stella went down fine, and my bartender Madison is awesome, with the only blemish being that they were out of Guinness. The Oilers Store was packed with shoppers, and the Grand Villa Casino was hopping. After the game, I went back to these places and they were still busy. The Banquet was in nightclub mode c/w a DJ spinning tunes and spinning lights. I'll try the Banquet again during a non-game night.

We were at the Marriott hotel last night for the game and after and the place sure was hopping. Friend from Calgary was very impressed as were the rest of us old Edmontonians.
 
I echo all of the comments above. Went to the game and sticked around after, and the place.was hopping all around, up until at least 1am, when I went home.
We need to have more of this happen in non-game days... It really felt like a whole different city!
