Hopefully a family friendly event in Churchill as well.

I think the proximity to Rogers of these spaces makes it more likely they will be the focus of play off activities, rather than Churchill, but if more people come then perhpas Churchill can be used too. Hopefully the city can be somewaht flexible in accommodating people on short notice as turn out is not always easily predictable.

It's been used off-and-on by OEG for a few of their things. I've been to a few events in there. Last I checked It didn't have a "for lease" sign or anything on it.

The rain likely deterred a lot of people. It's also wasn't all that warm. If the Oil make a deep run in the playoffs the weather will improve and more people will come out.

Partying in a vacant lot on the corner of 101 and 104 on a cold rainy night with a late puck drop is not a great sell. But things will probably turn around, just as (hopefully) the Oilers do.

I wonder if the recent announcement of another steakhouse downtown will deter the Keg? It might be nice, but the seem to have become a suburban chain, at least here in Edmonton.
