I love the concept of this building but I really hope the final design can be refined. The way it’s looking right now is quite messy and inconsistent with the whole pixelated look :/

From what I can gather, currently the whole row has a flat DC1 zoning, and because this site is being rezoned separately as DC, the rest of the row is being updated to DC as well. I'm not really sure what that means for the other sites though.

Some of the criticism of this tower even from councillors who voted in support was that one of the primary materials proposed for this tower will be stucco - comparable to the Falcon/Fox towers on 104st.
Councillors were mostly in agreement that given the prominent location of this tower they would like to see higher quality materials.

Stucco/EIFS should not be permitted for high-rise towers and will lead to significant issues at a rate higher than other cladding/wall options.
