@Daveography -- I can't tell from the skycams -- is PCL using slip-forms for the building core?

@archited It looks like they were building some kind of slip-forming rig for the core last time I was by. I might try and get some updated photos this evening, if I have the energy.

@Das Ponto Canon 6D, with a 14mm prime lens these days for construction photos like these.

Yup, they are forms for the concrete.

I notice that they are pouring concrete into the Marriott hotel core… if, indeed, they are slip forms, you can expect them to rise to the first level above grade on Monday or Tuesday next week.

Ha! Not even, I started my dive into Photography 2 years ago on my Dad's 73 Pentax ES2

Just built a new house with the Fiancee so all my funds go into that, or into my car haha. Next year is either 7D or 6D.

@Das Ponto Don't want to derail the thread too much, but will say I'm very happy with the 6D. If you're not shooting sports or anything else that needs crazy fast autofocus, it's a good way to go for full-frame, which is really should be any crop-frame shooter's next upgrade. A used previous-gen 5D (e.g., Mark II) is also a good way to go if you do want that fast autofocus as well.

I have shot with a 1D mkII and a 5DS as well, that 5D and its 50mp are nuts.
