Well, it would be very unlikely the land is doing anything other than staying where it is. However, the owners of it may or may not enter into a transaction, more commonly called a sale.

I worry about losing the south portion for it was included in the DC and was incorporated nicely.

Yep, last I heard the bean counters suggested Mr. developer stick to what he knows in Ontariario and don't risk capital in that topsy turvy Edmonton economy.

The risk is more on the downside which we have already had, but perhaps news travels slowly to Ontario.

I suppose yet another example of someone from Ontario misreading the local market. They may be the last to figure out things are improving here.

I’m probably the only person who thinks it looks awesome with all the paintball shots. The building is abandoned, why not paint the plywood all sorts of Color too?

I suppose that is better than demolition, but fear that is the easy way out.

Equally concerning to me is this heat trapping roadway/sidewalk/lifeless street.

I think 103 Ave will also be due for a bit of a road diet - repurpose one lane of roadway for wider sidewalks on each side and boulevard trees/greenery/colours or something like that.

The current DC sunset clause is up in 2 weeks. (Has it been 10 years already?!?!) Hearing there might be another developer interested in the site.

The price-tag on this land must be pretty steep. I am surprised that MacEwan U. hasn't swept in and picked up the site. Following along their Arts inclination they could have announced a new Faculty of Architecture and Design and combined that endeavour with additional Student Housing and bridged 104th Avenue with a Pedway connection keeping their campus conjoined. 106th street is destined to become the new 104th street what with the WD Park, LRT expansion, and three new high-rise apartment towers planned further south. MacEwan could have had some skin in the game for the development of Central Edmonton West.
