Heritage Valley is already developing as a TOD with a bunch of multi-unit residential already built or under construction. There's also potential in Southgate, and eventually, Heritage Valley.

When council was given an update on opening the new station(s) a month or so ago, they were told a connection from Blatchford would be complete before the end of 2023.Looks like more Blatchford roads have been paved near the Blatchford Station. I’m thinking there will be some kind of connection there soon.
I'll go look. Didn't even know this was happening though.Anyone got eyes on the testing of the extension?

I haven’t seen any trains being tested yet…Anyone got eyes on the testing of the extension?
How’d you get so close? From the NAIT side or through the Blatchford mud?
The pedestrian crossing just west of temporary NAIT station has crossing arms. This is likely due to the higher speeds that the train will be traveling through this section.@CplKlinger didn't your friend say that they've installed crossing arms and warning lights/bells at all the crossings along the Metro Line extension? I'd be concerned if that's not what the city ends up doing and they just use Valley Line-style crossings...
The pedestrian crossings between the two stations… no crossing gates.
The street crossings also do not have crossing arms, and will operate like the Valley Line or Calgary's DT portion of the C-Train.
I expect 40-50kmh speed limits on these sections of track.
