Well that's certainly something. Seems more concerned with how it will look from the James Macdonald, and less concerned about the pedestrian and residents experience. Definitely needs something to break up the massing a bit, it may be terraced and articulated, but they're still block long slabs. I know its just a initial massing concept, but doesn't seem to be a lot to work with here for good urban design.
 
Hard to say with Dub, but it's a primo location with a complimentary project across the field and has a unique design. All things attractive in my mind. That said, the eastern portions of this are partially impacted by the flood plain.

As pointed out by others, it looks like a miniature Montreal Olympic Village.

Fair, but you can still see the outline of the lots/houses and how it is not parkland.
If you go just a little further back it was natural parkland....depends on what point in time in history we pick as being the way we think things should be. Would be nice if it was kept as green space though, considering proximity to the river (flood plain may also be an issue but maybe not).
