What do you think of this project?

I think most of us kind of saw this coming when the project was originally announced - never seemed that feasible to begin with. Too bad many people did not think the same.

I drive by it every day and there's no way it will be opening anytime soon aside from a super limited opening of only like, the field itself with portajohns.
 
So...has this project officially been abandoned, half-completed? I drove by this morning, and there is absolutely no sign of life on the site.
 
Been no activity onsite since July.

The site was rezoned to allow for use as a storage facility (built within the building) recently but haven't seen any contractors on site in a while. Spin2 shows that there's two liens on the site now so who knows what's happening.
 
What a mess, I hope Spruce Grove isn't saddled with a half-completed ball park for the forseeable future, it's also very visible from the highway, which does not present the best impression.

Hopefully, the City can purchase the site, demolish what has been built so far, and resell it to developers to integrate into the adjacent development.
