A random shot of everyone's favourite building. (Doesn't look too bad from this view)
Yeah, this is the better side of the library, the west side is hideous. If I were the Art Gallery of Ontario, I would be insulted to be compared to this. Any similarity is coincidental.^
Doesn’t look too good either!
But it is a good photo, thanks for sharing!
What does look good is the tree canopy at the edges of Sir Winston Churchill Square.
Here's hoping this latest shrinking of the road will lead to greater pedestrian usage
Hasn’t been Normand’s for a long long time, but yes more space now.Just seems like this stretch of road has been in some state of construction or reconstruction for like a decade now...but finally looks like Normand's may be able to have a properly sized street side patio!

Incorrect thread.DT Edmonton is schnasty. I spent a few days last week doing some fieldwork research in various parts of KL, Malaysia as part of a urban quality of life study. In a city of over 8 million people in an MIC country with a per capita income 1/4 that of Canada I saw less than 10 homeless people / substance abuse victims in three full days of visiting some of the busiest and more crowded business / transportation nodes in the CBD and inner suburbs. The public places were very safe, clean and the people mostly dressed well and looked happy. Having permissive drug laws and catch&release laws is doing very serious damage to Canadian society. But "elbows up" everyone.
