Must be close to the bottom now? I see some rebar placed on the south side of the site. I wonder if this tower will need pilings because it's on a hill like this?

Apr. 15 update - forgive the glitchiness, I apparently am bad at getting enough photo coverage of the site to do a proper stitch.

This is going to be one of Edmonton's landmark structures -- beautiful tower, thoughtful integration on how tower meets podium, intricate podium (sensitive to the hill site), detailed landscape, and great integration of historical structures. Kudos to maestro Kennedy.

Never been a huge fan of all the brick on the podium AND the landscaped sidewalk out front. I hope it doesn't look that busy in reality.

@chrisvazquez7 Looks like they're still reinforcing that north wall. Must be a really challenging site, hope it doesn't set them back too much.
June 1 - still not much visible change
June 16 - Nothing has really changed in a week, hope everything is ok...

It looks to me @Daveography like they are placing "soil nails" which would make sense for retaining a hillside condition. I don't think that just a vertical retaining wall will cut it.

Would definitely need to take additional car for the toe of the wall sluffing out.
