Well better to demolish part of a parkade, rather than a historic building which seems to be the focus recently.

Hopefully this demolition will also result in a building being developed on the site, rather than an expansion of the existing surface parking lot. I suppose time will tell if this works out.

My bet is that this will be the next crane we see go up once the necessary portions of the Zebra Parkade are demolished (which should be starting this spring).

Strange, I remember the interview CTV did with Westrich’s guy and he said he had a “86M check burning a hole in his pocket.” That the project was ready to go….was just waiting on rezoning I believe.

This one is complicated due to the various partners involved and corporate structure of one partner.

Corporate structure of one partner? I thought the UofA had bought the parkade. Strange that the demolition lists the 103 Street address not the 104th Street address. Perhaps the entire parkade address is 103 Street and Lot 70?

They did not. It's privately owned by a group of investors.

If I recall correctly, the 103st address is the formal address for the entire asset.
