It is so deeply disappointing this one never came fruition and worse yet stalled at full parkade excavation like this. The design had great size and scale and would have made such a great impact on the area.

We may see this site and the vacant site to the north acquired by a local developer, consolidated, and developed as a mid-rise.
There is a lane in between the lots which would have to be closed.

If I recall correctly there were plans to use that lane to retain access to the driveways at the south edge of Paul Kane Park, as part of the 121st linear park proposal.

^^ True, but if the lane is enclosed between two tied properties it should be close to a no-brainer for the City. The part I don't like is the notion of building another stick-frame made-for-slum mid-rise on the property. I hope that whomever buys this has better than 'O vision.

I take it that if it was a 6 storey project or even 8 or 10, they would have to fill in some of that existing pit/foundation?

A potential local buyer for this and the lot next door is some of the best development news in 2025.
