The Grandin City sales centre on the corner of 116st and Jasper Ave has had all its exterior signage removed. Just a blank canvas now. I wonder if entire structure will be removed or if they will repurpose it for their next project.

Possibly removal of the word "Grandin" ...

I looked at a couple of units in Encore and Symphony and I've seen Legends for sale online and what struck me as new condos that haven't been lived in yet, is that they were all darker - specifically the flooring. I wouldn't call them dated by any means but I also wouldn't describe them as reflective of the newer trends in flooring etc which seems to be more light to medium tones.
In condo pre-sales it seems you often have to pick between a few floor colour schemes and it can be 3 or 4 years before you actually move in, whereas as a house you don't have to finalize that stuff until a few months prior.
With The View, people started purchasing at least three years ago and won't be moving in until 2022 still.
Would be nice if condos could hold off on people finalizing those things until at least construction is above ground.

Maple is out, walnut is in!

That's not necessarily true. I chose my finishes ~a year out and even had final modifications up to 6 months from possession.

A very different process though when you are ordering for two or three hundred; akin to a nice luncheon at the Westin versus a The Marc.
