Well, I'm happy the vacant 'eyesore' of a lot is concealed from street level. About time. But this is far from a pat on the back to the owner and I truly hope they place their attention on this project to get it going. Or sell it to someone else who will.

Pictures of the latest effort by Regency to “improve” this key downtown site.

And the kicker here. I have no idea why they would advertise to anyone that they are associated with this POS site.

And the “BUILDING for the Community”. What a joke!! How they have the nerve to attach that phrase to this site is beyond belief. The current state of this site and how long they have left it in this condition should be an embarrassment to this “developer”. Truly a festering black sore in the centre of the face of our downtown core. Shameful!!

So far more like NOT Building for the Community. They must be either shameless or clueless to put that up. Sure cover it up, but there is nothing to boast about here at the moment.

A development company that had its act together might put somethiing like building for the community on its signage, but it would probably also include dates for construction to start. Interestingly, I see that part is noticeably absent here.

At this point there seems to be a lack of commitment here that would justify this to be more than empty words.

it’s a very small percentage of the community that knows how long they have owned the site and have been responsible for its condition.

the vast majority will look the wrap - including the developer’s name on it - and think “it’s about time someone bought this and is going to do something with it, good for them”. :(
