Reopen the Smitty's in the former RTDRS space and that street will be COOKING baby.

Albert's is where it's at! Not sure that would fly well downtown though, especially with 124 location fairly close by.

1. They should reopen an amazing bar in the basement featuring live music and this time permit 'ripped jeans' (there's a story)
2. Could we please see the flags back over the entrance? It adds a more international flavour having an Alberta, Canada and often times some other key international ones.
3. How about taking better advantage of that awesome top floor pool/sundeck and do some fun events up there with music, tiki bar etc to liven things up.

Bars be struggling. The kids ain't drinking. In 2025 they have options. If I had Minecraft when I was 16 I would probably have never bothered with beer.

I don’t drink for health reasons, but if housing and food (dine-in and groceries) weren’t so expensive, I’d be blowing loads of money on mocktails

Correct, it's already gutted (that was completed 3 or so years ago) and new framing is going up as we speak for the 90 residential units and commercial spaces.

Is this the most risky project being completed in our downtown currently? Seems like a huge swing…sure hope it doesn’t miss.

Need a massive amount of retailers to sign on, then somehow need to attract huge foot traffic to a very corporate area with little residential directly on the block. Seems like a station park, but 5x bigger sort of effort.

I think given its got a narrow sidewalk street presence - the possibility of tables and umbrella on the sidewalk is not likely and given no sunlight.

Residential will be a major component of the building itself -- as planned it will be a true Mixed Use -- with hospitality (maybe a very small bit of retail), a combined work space for office tenants, and residential (on the uppermost floors).
