Ivor Wynne Stadium is in the middle of this neighbourhood. The Hamilton Tiger Cats of the CFL play here.

And the "'Jimmy' Thompson" memorial pool. Jimmy was comfortable enough to be memorialized as 'Jimmy', not James or Jim or JR.

North Stipley section of Hamilton-one I missed previously...

Flar: Another good photo tour of Hamilton-including Ivor Wynne Stadium.

Some of the twins and rowhouses again remind me of Philadelphia and SE PA including the sign mentioning Philly Cheese Steaks in one of the IWS pics.

That silver Firebird must date back to the early 80s I presume...someone took good care of it! LI MIKE

Just came across these pics. It's my old stomping ground of 50 years ago. Looks exactly as back then. Was and still is depressing. I know exactly where the kids are playing. I was one of those at that time. I do note that the metal stamping business in the grey building (the one with the grafitti)in the alley has finally ended. That was my first impression of a workplace. Thought that I'd do that when I grew up.
