Forgive me if this has already been covered, but I'm trying to find out of this 'home renovation tax credit' applies to 'condo upgrades'.

For example, I purchased a condo in Aug 2009 with closing in Fall of 2010. I spent about $3000 in condo 'upgrades', mostly in my bathroom (nicer tiles etc)

Does my situation apply?

I suspect you are NOT eligible as you can only apply for HRTC for your RESIDENCE so I doubt you can claim on upgrades since you did not live there during the qualifying period. (Feb 2009-Jan 2010).

You cannot. The govt. website specifically says expenses related to a new home, including upgrades do not qualify:
