I noticed in some 2 bedroom condo units they only have one HVAC unit(heat pump) to serve the entire unit, would this unit be of higher capacity and sufficient? Is there any way I could check the cooling/heating capacity. The condo is 800 square feet.

How many would you expect? My place is a 1-bedroom about 735sqft... only slightly smaller than yours... and I only have one unit.

And I can heat my place up or cool it down several degrees almost instantly.

Well ok.. in a few minutes... but still remarkably fast compared to a larger house or something.

Same here. My little HVAC is pretty powerful and heats up 750 square feet in little time. It's a bit on the loud side, but that's a different issue.


If the unit isn't doing its job, maybe it needs servicing?
