Looks quite grey on the outside, but the streets below are vibrant with a lot of activity.
 
I don't know why but there's something strangely appealing about the run down slummy housing seen in these pics and in other Asian cities... I can't quite put my finger on it.

Agreed. I've had this appeal for as long as I remember but I can't seem to figure out why.
