German architect Ole Scheeren of Office for Metropolitan Architecture has designed a skyscraper for Bangkok in Thailand.

Called MahaNakhon, the building consists of a 77-storey glass tower.

A band of shifted, box-like elements breaks up the surface and creates terraces and balconies.
There will also be a public plaza, retail space, 200 homes, a hotel, bar and restaurant. Building is due for completion in 2010.

Looks like someone took a boxy skyscraper and shot it with a massive machine gun! I can't say I'm overly impressed by it, but it's certainly a better variation of the Habitat-like tower than the Alternative MoMA tower posted earlier.

I am in love with this. This is very sexy design. It's very futuristic and cube-like. I find it a bit strange it's being built in Asia. It seems a more western looking design.
