Article in today's Star discussing using tech in partnership w/IBM among others to better understand real-time conditions in the City's water system.

This is the sort of thing I want to see a lot more of, so that we can prevent problems and/or catch them early, instead of waiting to clean up the big mess when we don't.

The phrase "smart city" always makes my blood curdle, but at least here it seems to be mostly about municipal buildings and assets. I'm hesitant to say much more about this until Markham starts reporting some numbers.
