With so many art galleries and museum exhibitions in town, sometimes interesting shows in smaller places get overlooked. Here's one:

Masahiro Mori, 1927-2005, Ceramic Designer.

The Japan Foundation,
131 Bloor West, 2nd floor.

Opens Thursday February 1st. Runs until May 5th.
The gallery is usually closed on Saturdays, but is open on February 3rd.

Mori was an internationally renowned designer who worked for industry, rather than producing studio pottery. He was a reformer who brought a modern sensibility to a traditional industry and designed mass produced beautiful objects for everyday use.
