Qualities of a mayoralty candidate?
I'd say younger makes her less qualified. is she harder-edged? I'd say not in the slightest. as far as I have seen she is very thin-skinned and prone to being disoriented in a political fire-fight. many of which she will undoubtedly encounter should she dare to run.
the two page piece was in a paper that she occasionally writes for. it was a profile of the Councillor and offered some insight to her character. noticeably absent was any kind of feedback on her performance at the Ward level. the reporter avoided her record on the ground which in my opinion does not show her in any good light.
it's risky running for the top job with an unhappy constituency and that's where Ward 16 is headed.

Let's swallow our pride and elect Glen Murray. It would be humiliating having Winnipeg as our Mayoral farm team but better than Hizzoner and any other likely candidates.

Sounds like a good idea.
Toronto could do with some experience and honesty being brought to bear and I have always found GM to have both.
