According to Radio-Canada there is going to be a study begun on expanding Pont Champlain. It will explore a number of options but the plan will almost certainly include 2 new passenger rail lines leading over to the south shore which will be a huge boast to improving rail service not just for commuters but other towns past the AMT region. I will keep adding more information to this thread as I get more. This will be a pretty critical project for Montreal and one that is central in modernizing the commuter and intercity rail network in Quebec.
