It has been frequently requested to move the Beer Store thread from the Toronto Issues forum to the Retail forum, since Beer Stores are found outside of the Greater Toronto Area and as its name suggests, is retail, focusing on the sale of hops-flavoured alcoholic beverages.

Oh, and the Retail forum already has a thread on alcohol retailers.

Actually, the Adult Video Store thread is moved, not the Beer Store one.

We get it. You're against the evils of alcohol.

But Tim Hudak (and newspaper columnists) made the Beer Store and the LCBO a political issue. Much more than say the trouble at Target or who's opening up next at Yorkdale or the Eaton Centre. And alcohol issues remain a political issue that makes it more than a simple retail discussion. Toronto Issues (which deals with local political matters) was an appropriate place for the thread.
