Pretty crazy that once this, the new transitional housing building on Murray, and the Building at Rideau Centre are finished, the only hole in ground in the market/lowertown might be the Andaz addition for a few years. Many areas of the city are ending the boom during a housing crisis.

Precast Install started today.

Where is this? From all of the renders & designs we've seen, the existing building that was on York was supposed to keep its brown brick and industrial look like the new addition and tower all seemed to be glass/white panels (similar to the Zibi tower).

Looks to me like it's this section:

There are no precast panels on the existing 5 levels of the heritage section. It will be normal brick install.
Happy to hear it. Would have been disrespectful to cheap out on the heritage portion. The pre-cast on the new tower will at least be mostly hidden once the adjacent lots are redeveloped.

This stuff is going up quick. Heritage looking windows on the Major building side are looking good as well (didn’t have a chance to take a pic)

The windows are relatively nice, though it's strange they are not more aligned, especially in the hotel portion.

Overall, it might not be too bad. Looks better than the AC pre-cast so far.

Why does it look charcoal? Wetness combined with the lighting conditions?
