From a former Google employee, this new search engine claims to be the largest and will also protect your privacy info. The second part is great but I'm not sure I'm buying the first claim.

I typed in Urban Toronto and didn't get this site. http://www.cuil.com/search?q=urban+toronto

Anyone else tried the new site?
 
The thumbs that appear beside search results are f*d up. They seem to have no correlation. My personal website shows up fine with the right keywords, but beside it is a photo of some guy I've never seen before. People will assume he's me, and he's ugly. I don't like that. Very uncuil.

Yeah, the thumbnails seem to come out of nowhere sometimes, and some search results bring nothing at all. When the same parameters are put into google, at least something comes up.

all and all i give it a resounding "meh".
 
I tried it out this morning. Didn't like the way results are shown. Didn't like the results period.
 
^... I don't like the layout either... not as user (eye) friendly as Google... Google is also much more relevant
