Here's part of the next planned office tower - 3 WTC, which has been built up to an 8-story temporary stump.

Note the part near the the top in black. Looks very reminiscent of the former low-rise buildings of the original WTC!

In the bottom 3 pics, concrete core & steel frame begin to rise.

Word is out that this tower has been given the green light to be completed to its full planned height.

Yup, it is being completely built to its full planed height!


On June 25th, 2014, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey reached a agreement with Larry Silverstein to finance the completion of the 3 World Trade Center building, and construction of the tower resumed. The new anticipated completion is late 2017.
