I saw this over on skyscrapercity, taken from downtown Buffallo.

People in Buffalo are probably looking at Niagara Falls, ON the same way that Torontonians view Mississauga.

Even though the Niagara Falls skyline looks extremely tacky, the heights of the buildings are impressive. Go Canada!

Even Marineland is getting a peice of the skyline. I would say that Niagara Falls and Mississauga are Canada's two most "up and coming" skylines. Everytime I go by either of them I'm amazed as to how much has happened in such a short time.

I wonder how many idiot people see the tower and buildings in that view thinking it is Toronto.

Obviously the cnn tower on the right will be a dead give away that toronto does in fact overlook niagara falls.

Y'know, probably a surprising number. That's a good point.

tacky as it is, i'd argue that the fallsview blvd area of niagara falls (where the new casino and big hotels are) is more urban and pedestrian friendly than MCC.

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see another highrise hotel start construction in Niagara Falls within the next 5 years. During that time, Calgary's skyline may see several starts taller than PetroCan and possibly a new tallest for Canada

I highly doubt that one. Foster's new EnCana HQ will be the tallest in western Canada, but only around 60 stories... nothing to rival Toronto!

You bet! They have a number of projects proposed. Check out 59 story proposal for the Rainbow Tower Hotel.
For more information on other projects in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Can Niagara Falls really sustain all these new hotel rooms?

The answer is probably not!

i don't think any of them were built anticipating a 90 cent dollar.. that and the US passport requirement next year is going to make it awfully hard to fill all those rooms

The urge to gamble is probably stronger than the dollar or border requirements.

Well, that just shows you don't know anything about MCC.
