Rare development at Northgate Mall: the elevated parking structure on the SE side of the property was torn down a few weeks back and it's now fenced off and the parking lot fully removed. Anyone have any knowledge of what is planned here? Mall expansion? Stripmall CRUs? Residential?

The DP was posted way back in the miscellaneous thread. Sounds like the parkade just reached end of life and isn't really necessary so they are just replacing it with a surface lot. Lame.
