Hillcrest Mall always looks dead to me. That's where Krispy Kreme saw it's fate.

What development is going on at the Korean Supermarket / Red Lobster site? I wasn't aware of that. I know there's a proposal for Newtonbrook Plaza.

Thanks for all the great photos! 5 stars for your threads - very deserving.

Here is the thread for it. http://www.urbantoronto.ca/showthread.php?t=928. the hy&zels that used to be there turned into a pharmacy 1 and is now a store for wholesale products. the wendy's also closed down a couple of months ago.

the red lobster is actually north of that. the RL is in the former pizza hut plaza north of the railway corridor.

What's the proposal for Newtonbrook Plaza?

I have been searching for the documentation online, but have come up empty.

I received a flyer months ago (in the Spring) from Willowdale MPP David Zimmer regarding a meeting for the redevelopment of Newtonbrook Plaza. Unfortunately, I did not attend, so I am not sure what exactly was proposed.

I do recall a hearing something about a few condos and an office building.

If someone could come up with the documentation (if it exists), that would be wonderful.

Thanks for the photos

I always thought that this building should have been about 50-60 feet closer to the street with parking behind.

This one was called Central Park when in development. All sorts of New York references in the marketing. I checked it out at the time. Turns out there's a small park where you would have had the parking go. New York that's for sure.

Beautiful pictures, smuncky.

You should post the old Richmond Hill area of Yonge... Its beautiful, historic, and you even get some good views of Toronto from there.

I'll be out there soon so I can contribute to this forum. :)
