To end off this beautiful day in Paris, I went up to the Tour Montparnasse observation deck to watch the sunset. The 56th floor is 196 metres from street level and the elevator ride takes only 38 seconds.

Although the building is quite big and somewhat out of place in Paris, it does give a very nice view of the city. Nobody else in the area comes close to the tower's height.

Wow, incredible views... our hotel was right beside Montparnasse Tower when we were in Paris a few months ago... I can't believe I didn't go up!
