Queens Park looks just fine with buildings behind it, doesn't it? All those people worrying about view corridors from the south should take a look at this picture. I actually think it looks better surrounded by an urban environment...looks vaguely London-ish...

I think Queen's Park would look much better without the comparatively generic buildings in the background. Also, this is just looking at its back facade, not the more beautiful front.

Although I agree that the Legislature itself would look nicer with nothing behind it, I think the entire scene just feels more dense and urban with the buildings in the background. I wish that sliver of sky on the left was blocked out too.
