Good pictures. Galt is reminiscent of Guelph, and also resembles Paris, a little farther downstream. These are all old "mill towns" with big old mill buildings immediately beside the river, and with a lot of buildings made of stone as opposed to brick.
It's a hive of activity if compared to Hespeler, which has its own charm but you'd be able to shoot a cannon down the main street (which used to be Highway 24 before a by-pass was built) with confidence you wouldn't hit anyone.
Preston has some charm too, but is also pretty quiet.
