RH would thematically be a nice addition to the Warehouse District but it's furniture is disappointing. RH presents and prices its furniture as a premium product but an inspection of it reveals that it is far from top quality furniture. On a scale of 1 - 10, RH's furniture is about a 6. Perhaps a 7 for some of it but that would be pushing it.

I quite like their offerings but thing is, RH furniture is (in general) so big it wouldn't fit in 90% of new condos/rentals. It's meant for big ass houses.

They are currently working on a new line of "convertible furniture" that is specifically aimed at condo and apartment living -- hence the notion of building a condo/apartment building above a 4-storey base that would house a store. They are also exploring the idea of adding Pets and Houseplants to their mix of offerings (not yet clear where these ideas will end up).

What the heck -- I decided to go ahead with this anyway -- whet the appetite and see what happens. I am adding the existing galleries for RH in various cites across the world -- thematically, don't you think this would be a great addition to the Warehouse District?
The go to strategies here so far seem to be to turn our older warehouse space into bars or restaurants, residential or tear them down. So maybe there is something else we are missing here. Something to think about.
