I thought I'd share some photos of San Fancisco and the surrounding area I uploaded to Flickr. I'll be adding more as time permits and will post them here. I went in the summer of 2005 to visit family and see the city.
1050 Van Ness Ave
This is where I satyed at the corner of Van Ness and Geary This was formerly the Richelieu Hotel and was a La Quinta when I stayed. It is now the Opal Hotel.
Castro Theatre
The landmark Castro Theatre is located in The Castro and was built in 1922. Just a quick shot while passing through after dinner.
San Francisco MUNI 5031
One of San Francisco's ubiquitous trolleybuses. Maybe not the best example to represent their system, but this rough looking bus was close to the end of its useful life when this photo was taken. Rode the 6 line from Market to the end at 14th to see the different neighbourhoods.
The Fireside Inn
A view of the Fireside Inn before it's redevelopment into an affordable housing project catering to seniors and persons with disabilities. A view of The Fireside today.
