There's plenty of "blank walls" on other institutional structures that don't stop them from being vital components of the neighbourhood. We don't need to jam a Sobey's into every hospital research facility we put up.
Not only is the building pretty awesome, but this is another positive addition to our burgeoning biomed sector. Very exciting!

I doubt that it will be nearly as "animated" as Lightbox, which is specifically designed with red carpets, grand openings, etc. in mind. This lab building will host a bunch of researchers huddled over their bunsen burners (or whatever they may huddle over). But it is an outstanding facility for Toronto and will help to solidify one area in which Toronto is becoming, without exaggeration, world class. It's visionary of the hospital, and the bodies who are funding it.
There is going to be retail at ground level; I believe that it will front on Bay north of the lobby... so don't worry, we get both a great research facility and a fab new shoppe and/or bistro, hopefully not related to any of the experiments going on above.
