SOLARIS:
The Excitement is Building!
With over 1000 homeowners interested in our new METROGATE neighbourhood the excitement is building towards the introduction of our first residential community Solaris – a pair of clean, elegant and simply beautiful elliptical towers that make an impressive and distinct architectural statement.
Soaring 40 storeys high, Solaris is designed by architects Graziani and Corazza with contemporary forms and the latest in sustainable “green†technology in harmony with the classical and essential elements of residential home design. The first phase of your community will not only create a superb high-rise living environment but will also be the beginning of a vibrant, pedestrian-oriented neighbourhood.
From the towers’ 4-storey masonry podium to their beautiful glass façade, the architecture of Solaris will set the tone for the future residential communities that will follow to complete this extraordinary neighbourhood.
I hope both towers won't be the same height, other then that it seems promising. This area could turn out better the MCC IMO due to the fact it has direct access to the TTC.
masonry podium? sounds really good. Hopefully they wont have the same designs for the other condos, otherwise this might end up looking like a string of 360 copies.
Here's a good rendering from the Condo Guide of the two tallest towers of Metrogate. The first phase, Solaris will be 40 storeys tall. Scarborough seems to be getting a great influx of new of curved glass point towers (Ellipse, 360, and now this).
These will be good for SCC but I'm not at all sold on the architecture. The ground level/podium doesn't appear to work with the towers though not necessarly bad on it's own.
