It's so gritty and unwelcoming looking. Even worse than Toronto's by looking at these pictures.

Yeah, NYC has some nasty subway stations. They smell really weird too. Toronto's transit system is luxury compared to many I've used around North America.

The new R143s are quickly becoming iconic subway cars. There's a certain charm in their anti-septicness, which I guess is kind of a zeitgeist of milennial New York.
