Kind of late to create a Stampede thread, but better late than never. Looks like a decent chance of breaking the all-time attendance record this year.

Aside from actual numbers, anecdotally, the core seems to be the busiest I've seen it during Stampede. 17th ave and Stephen ave have been bumping like usual, maybe more, while places like Mission, Inglewood and Bridgeland seem far busier than usual.

Attendance record stands as 2023 Calgary Stampede statistics released

This year's attendance numbers for the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth have been released, making the event the second largest Calgary Stampede in history.

Close to the record, but not quite. 1,384,632 through the gates this year, which is a big number considering it wasn't a special year like the centennial year.

I went to the stampede grounds for the first time since before Covid and enjoyed it. Not much has changed, but the key is to go every few years.
