Those are great photos. HK is the kind of place that I found has so many layers, physically, socially and even on the ground. When you have people crammed in such a small, humid and prosperous place, the city really is alive, perhaps even more so than New York.
 
These towers make our repetitive suburban rental tower developments from the 1960s and 70s look good:
