Despite the unfortunate architecture, this is good infill for the area. It's just a short walk from a proposed LRT station.
Also the units look quite spacious and have good layouts in comparison to most condos. Should be affordable.
I've seen those building permits for a while, not sure why it's taking so long, passed by today and I can confirm the site still looks the same as these google street view images from Sept 2017. Thier site has been showing "Construction will start soon" for almost a year now.
Found this development on Bondfield's site it says completion "February 2019" considering the only work that has progressed since the last photo is that they completed the temporary fence by enclosing the sales center, I think that date is a tad optimistic.
As of September 18,2018 work has not started. Old homes are still standing. My guess is that these units will be finished by summer 2020 at the earliest. What the heck is going on.
This development is no longer listed on the City's Development Website, although the developer's Website is still up. It should've started long ago I think they had all the approvals and it was "sold out". Anecdotally I heard there was finance issues with this project so I *think* this project is dead (hopefully not).
