Pretty decent layout! You have the option to remove the wall of the den to create a more open concept space. If you don't have enough cabinet space, you can simply
extend the guest closet and have a pantry opening from the opposite end of that closet.

Except for the pillars it looks very good, I was thinking the same thing as Joseph suggested (removing the 2nd bedroom/den). What are the room dimensions?

I'm a fan of pillars though. I think they look quite sophisticated. Perhaps the one in the kitchen can be covered with a flexible metal material to appear stainless steel
