I'm trying so so hard to squint and figure out the location of this absurdly over-telephoto'd photo...assistance please...

I could be way off, but I'm thinking somewhere around Kipling subway station, but not really sure to be honest.
 
Hmmm, if so I'm way off cuz I was thinking Yonge north of Steeles. Is that not the North York skyline in the centre of the picture?
 
Might be Yonge & Major Mack - it's somewhere with a decent elevation north of the 407.

look how close all those signaled intersections & hydro poles are! what a crazy photo!
 
I think the same guy took another absurdly-over-telephoto'd photo of Yonge looking north of Bloor that also makes the North York Centre towers seem like they're two blocks away. There's also a good one that makes Yonge & Eglinton look denser and busier than Tokyo.

Bingo, that's exactly where I took the pick...right at the foot of richmond hill border.
