Site Plan Control application to permit a 4-storey commercial building with an open-air courtyard located at rear of the Subject Site. A new east-west pedestrian connection is proposed which will extend from Old York Lane in the west, through the rear courtyard, and connect to the planned east-west pedestrian connection at 101 Yorkville

Great that they are expanding the laneways in Yorkville to the rear. Also is the project next door getting a redesign? Same architect?
 
I really like what i'm seeing here, true head turner.
 
Lovely juxtaposition from the front, IMO. Toronto's Victorians I feel are not easy to compliment with most current styles. I find the sharp roofs end up often feeling out of place or loomed over from above. The sharp-edge brickwork above their rooflines here that steps back to give it space is really quite striking and complimentary, at least in the renderings. I agree that from the aerial views the shape looks awkward. Hopefully it's not perceptive as an awkwardness from street level as in their renders.
