No new renderings are updated in the database! The only information changed in the project is the total unit count decreased from 825 units to 799 units. The total parking spaces remain the same at 268 parking spaces. The total storey count remains the same at 31 and 27 storeys. Finally, the total building height is the same at 105.30 m and 93.30m.

After additional consultation with the local community and other commenting partners, Transportation Services staff have determined the applicant be required to design and install a traffic control signal at Bloor Street West and St. Helen's Avenue. In order to address pedestrian and cycling crossings and safety, as well as the operational concerns at the intersection.

Community Benefits Secured from 1319 Bloor Street Development

At this week's City Council meeting, the development proposal at 1319 Bloor Street West was reviewed. As part of the planning process, I ensured that this development would be contributing significant community benefits. This includes at minimum 5,000 square foot Community Agency Space that will be located on levels one and two.

The developer will also have to provide $500,000.00 for total finishing costs of this Community Agency space. The owner will also be required to provide and maintain 15 new affordable rental dwelling units in this development for a minimum period of ninety-nine years. The developer will also be responsible for traffic control signals to be installed at the intersection of Bloor Street West and St. Helen's Avenue.

The owner will also be responsible for part of the construction costs associated with the Bloor-Lansdowne GO station as well as part of the West Toronto Rail Path extension. Additionally, this project will also include a public park that the developer must provide with a minimum size of 1,077 square metres (11,592 sq. ft). The full report can be found at this link.

No permits have been applied for as yet, let alone issued, so this is awhile away.

However.........

We know that Mx already had bids out for building the new Bloor-Lansdowne station (for GO) here.
Those bids were due to close April 5th.

I'm not sure whether the was work was programmed to run ahead of the developer here, or in conjunction with them.

The linked website is no longer available. Anyone know how much the developer committed? Now that there are questions whether the GO station will even be built, does anyone know what happens to the promise to contribute to construction costs for the station?
